
Inspired Cupcake Designs wishes to bring you, and your food allergic family, beautiful and safe cupcakes for every occassion. Soon to come will be photo's of cupcakes recently created, however I would like to know details about the person, party or theme when I create a design for you! I like to get an idea of who I am baking for; what inspires you, what brings you joy?
I have been baking for my son, Ryder, since he was diagnosed with Food Allergies in 2008. The allergies have developed over the years, and as it stands now, he is anaphylaxic to Dairy, Eggs, Peanuts, Treenuts, Fish, Shellfish, and Soy. He is also severely allergic to Wheat, Corn, Legumes, and has a gluten intolerance, as well as numerous, less severe allergies to foods, chemicals and fragrances.
Having little help from doctors and nutritionists, I did all of my own research through the internet, books and magazines, and by connecting with allergy blogs and websites online. It has taken years to design recipe and menu plans that are safe, balanced, and delightful to the pallet of a child. It has taken an equal amount of time to contact companies, and to find products that are safely manufactured according to Ryder's allergies, not simply according to the FDA, whose guidelines are not, in my opinion, strict enough.
Every week is an adventure; discovering products, dedicated allergen free companies, bold new recipes, and creative new designs. I bake with gluten free flour, no acception, but I guarentee you will not only love the end results, you will fool any one at your party into beleiving they are eating an allergen filled cupcake!
